Wouldn't be just the perfect salt in the wound if SA romp home by like eight wickets with two sessions to spare? Not going to win this one TBH.

Man...this is just pure incompetence.
Its pretty disgraceful, I can't believe with the frickin' walkie-talkie in hand they couldn't let them know its over.

Honestly, the umpiring in this series is the worst I've ever seen with a non-DeSilva test.

Haha, I'd have to agree.

The only reason Arjun (and I IIRC) talked him up as an all-rounder was because he somehow managed to score a lot of runs in domestic cricket two seasons ago I think. That's all I knew about him so I thought he might be good. Obviously, he's tripe.
That might be the reason you talked him up, but Arjun doesn't follow such ludicrous ideas as to talk up a player as an allrounder because they have scored runs. I take it Arjun saw him hit a six once.

Honestly SS, why are you here? You're almost trolling at the minute. Criticise India all you like, I don't care, but you're no different then BingLeeElectric or JustTool purposely trying to antagonise board members.

Have a look at his latest post in the Indian domestic season thread. The worst post from a good poster I've ever read on CW tbh. No joke.

Oh crap that was a 7 ball over... wth... doesn't the match refree do something about that. Wth is going on!
5 and 7 ball overs are reasonably common in test cricket. They don't happen in every match or anything, but you'd get a few in every season. There was one in the 5th Ashes test that just finished, for instance.

Anyway, there's no recourse to change anything that occurs or doesn't occur as a result of the wrong number of deliveries being bowled. You just get on with the match.

Watch the ICC do nothing about it.

I said 'we're not going to win it from here, and it would be a salt in our wound if they romp home with 8 wickets.' The first part is opinion, the second would be true.

I hardly want them to win, but they no doubt saw Karthik be successful attacking and I think thats the way they'll approach it.

In any case, we might need to bring the spinners on quickly.

Agreed. Now you know why you used to be considered a troll in your early days, SS. Don't descend to that level again.

True, but Karthik was to take strike. That robbed us of possibly 10-20 more runs.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying that there's nothing that can be done about it, so there's no required action from the match referee. What would they do anyway? Take the wicket away? It's just part of the game, albeit it usually happens in less crucial situations.

Anyway, game is fairly evenly poised for mine. South Africa favourites, but not by much. 211 is a tricky target, especially against Kumble on this surface. Should be a great chase.

I quite like a lot of his posts, but some of them are a bit strange. He repeatedly talks up Nuwan Zoysa as an allrounder for example. Doesn't shock me that Patel can't bat judging he used the same logic. His thoughts on what it takes for a bowler to improve his batting to the standard of an allrounder are way off the mark. He knows a lot about a lot of players though so he's a valuable member.

Anyway, why are we talking about a member in the middle of a tour thread? South Africa to win by 2 wickets - Sehwag taking 3, Kallis to top score.

Patel needs the innings of his (length pending) life.
Hahahaha, great call. As poor as the collapse was and the run outs I still think Sehwag's dismissal was the worst of the lot. Furthermore Dravid's decision to open with him.

I would atleast expect a fine on them. They are horrible!

South Africa 1.30
India 3.40.
