Please no....stuff.co.nz said:Bracewell is pinning his hopes on Hamish Marshall or McMillan to take over McCullum's opening role in Australia, though in a different manner to the gloveman, but if they fail to come up to the mark then incredibly, McCullum might be on the way back down to No7.
Stuart Clark's wicket to match ratio is only marginally less than Johnson's. I really don't see how Johnson's career thus far can be called gun whilst Stuart Clark is called over-rated.Haha. There is really nothing funnier than people that can't tell the difference between test performances and ODI performaces.
Stuart Clark - 25 wickets in 18 ODIs @ 33 (5.5 RPO)
= solid backup, if not a bit over-rated
Mitchell Johnson - 14 wickets in 10 ODIs @ 25.78 (5.15 RPO)
= gun start to ODI career
Lou Vincent's last 10 ODI innings:I think Lou Vincent would've been a much better option than Marshall. They guy is unlucky.
Mate, I don't think the next few months is about looking to the future. Rather, the selectors will just be hell bent on picking a combination to win the World Cup. But, even on that score, I agree with your conclusion that selecting Hayden was an error. Jacques or even promoting Clarke for mine.Worst decision of the Summer to bring Haydos back to the ODI side imo. I hope he fails miserably so we can finally look towards the future.
