15.3 Sreesanth to Amla, 3 runs, short this time, Amla pats it to the leg side and hurries through. Munaf Patel at fine leg can't get around in time and allows the batsmen to complete three. Smoke can be spotted emanating from Sreesanth's eyes

Munaf looking out of sorts. :(
He bowled an excellent line in that over. Some more movement on a given delivery is bound to result in a wicket. The pace isn't there which can be because of Munaf not being fully fit or the pitch. I am not really concerned regarding the reason but Patel didn't do any thing extravagant after he was smacked for four in the next few deliveries and for me, he bowled a superb over.

Agreed, Munaf is hitting a decent line and length. No pace, but I reckon if he can do something similar to Pollock, and then have Kumble on the other end, it may work.

India may as well go for broke and bowl Kumble almost all day for the rest of today.

Munaf`ll get Amla.

In fact I`m putting him down to get Smith and Amla. Smith first.

Another aspect of Patel is that he can extract an awkward bounce. He hasn't experimented with that too much in this spell yet maybe because it is early but once he starts doing that, it could be a handful. Then again, the bowler's pace and the pitch hasn't been helpful.

We just don't have the control of the SAffie bowlers. They were able to keep the RR down at least. We're getting owned and owning ourselves too.

Sreesanth has an awfully long way to go, this is showing.

This has draw written all over it I'm afraid.
I would agree with that generally. Kumble for example is getting slow bounce off the pitch as well. Graeme Smith looked so comfortable on separate deliveries off him. However for this test match, the two teams do not have consistently good batting line ups. India managed only a bit more than 400 and there is still a very good chance of a result here.

Don't know why Patel was changed. I would get him from Zaheer's end as quickly as possible seeing there is more bounce bowling from that end.
