I say it is a little bit slower than Queenstown, so far we've had a run out, three aerial shots to fielders and a couple of really good deliviries. Just poor batting really, hopefully McCullum and Astle can knock out most of the runs and McCullum register a fifty or something. I noticed the other day that he has never scored a List A century.

How was Mason bowling?. Im overseas so im listening on the internet. He's got four wickets but two of them were caught at square leg and one caught by the keeper down the leg side, so it sounds like a bit of luck but you cant tell from the radio comentary.

So has he bowled well, or just been lucky?

He has bowled quite well to be honest - kept a good line and length and put pressure on the batsmen by choking them essentially. He hasn't really looked a genuine wicket-taking threat to be honest, but it has been a good one day bowling display.

I've always said that James Franklin comes back quite well later in his spell, and his first over went for 9 runs while his other 3 have gone for 6.

Wrapped up the tail pretty quickly, Sri Lanka all out for 112 with Michael Mason claiming 4 and Vettori cleaning up the tail. Muralitharan gave Franklin some stick and messed up his figures.
