Sure, it might, but it'll also give him more of a chance to build an innings. Symonds has thrived since he learned to take the necessary time to build his innings and was moved up to 5. Moving him up to 4 can't hurt. The other option is Clarke, who I'm sure would do well too, but I think Symonds needs the time at the crease more than Clarke or Hussey do, as they tend to be able to go from ball one or play themselves in according to the situation.PhoenixFire said:Having Symonds at 4 might expose him to the new, swinging & seaming ball, would you want that? Anyway, those 4 to 7 positions in the order can always be fluid according to the situation, but I definitely think Hussey is the best equipped to bat at 6 or 7, as his record shows.
