Yeah, I reckon this'll be a good batting day actually. All the signs in the opening half hour so far have been good. KP in particular opening up nicely.

Cook in a trough here (blame Trott digging at the pitch) but KP has played well for the 50 so far. Need him to double it on a day that looks good for batting.

Seriously though, I do think yesterday was a good day for batting. Anderson bowled well initially and Australia weren't great, but the batsman weren't in much trouble for most of the day after the first hour. England innings was a bit different because Australia had all the momentum and they also got it reversing early. But even then Cook and KP never really looked to be having too many problems.
