Yousuf passed fit for Pakistan
Liam Camps |Middle order batsman Mohammad Yousuf has been passed fit to participate in a two-day practice match ahead of Pakistan’s tour of England.
There were questions over Yousuf’s fitness due to a back ailment. However, captain Inzamam-ul-Haq confirmed that Yousuf is fit to play.
The news comes as a boost for Pakistan, with key players Shoaib Akhtar having been ruled out of the series, and Naved-ul-Hasan doubtful with a groin injury.
Mohammad Yousuf scored 342 runs in England’s 3-Test tour of Pakistan late last year. The series haul included a career best of 223.
Pakistan play their first match of the tour against Scotland – an ODI on June 27.
