Warne “scandal” revealed

The off-field antics of legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne have been made public once again, as he was pictured with two models in a hotel room by a British tabloid.

Warne, who split from his wife Simone during last summer’s epic Ashes series, was allegedly snapped with the two last Thursday night in West London. Hampshire were playing a County Championship match against Middlesex at the time, and although Warne took 7-99 in the second innings of that match, he did admit to suffering from fatigue during the game.

Doubts have surfaced about the legality of the allegations, however, as the blond figure in the photos which were published in the tabloid looks suspiciously unlike Warne himself. The two girls involved also have a history of headline-grabbing in Britain, while the newspaper involved, the News Of The World, has a penchant for similar stories.

Warne’s management have yet to comment on the allegations -but with Warne having split from his wife, many would argue that his private life, and especially his sex life, are now his business. A statement from Warne or his management is unlikely at any stage.
