Vincent in for Fulton for Africa

Lou Vincent has replaced Peter Fulton in New Zealand’s Test squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

New Zealand Cricket said the reason for Fulton having to pull out was that he needed surgery to repair his injured right knee.

New Zealand Selector Sir Richard Hadlee said the selectors see Vincent as a middle-order batsman who can fill in as an opening batsman if required.

Fulton is hoping to be fit and make his comeback for the Chappell-Hadlee series in December.
