Vincent dumped for Bang ODIs

Lou Vincent, Gareth Hopkins and Michael Mason have been dropped for the upcoming three one-day internationals against Bangladesh starting on Boxing Day.

Peter Fulton returns to the side as Vincent’s replacement.

“We welcome the return of Peter Fulton to the Black Caps squad,” said Black Caps coach John Bracewell.

“Peter has shown good form in the State Championship, and he has proved in the past he can translate a high standard of performance at domestic level to the international game.”

“The selection panel felt it was important to retain the bulk of the team from the recent series in South Africa and Australia to give them the opportunity to build on the experience of those tours and show the talent they have.”

“Some players have been released to allow them to return to their provincial teams and earn quality playing time in the State Shield, and put pressure on those in the squad.”
