Vaughan may be fit for 1st Test
Zac Gelman |England received a boost today with the news that captain, Michael Vaughan, may be fit to play in the first Test against the West Indies, starting next week.
Vaughan, who broke a finger whilst batting in county cricket, will be in a race against time with the match starting on Thursday, according to the BBC.
“He has definitely improved since it happened last week. I don’t know whether they’ve made a decision or not but he’s getting better,” said Martyn Moxon, head of Yorkshire.
“I’ve not had a chance to speak to him yet today but hopefully we’ll know by early next week.”
England’s first Test against the West Indies starts on the 17th at Lord’s.
