Ticket warning for World Cup 07

World Cup officials have issued a warning telling people to stay clear of buying tickets for games off internet auction sites.

Of the 800,000 official tickets, it is understood that several hundred growing into the thousands have been put on auction sites such as E-Bay with tickets selling for twice their original value.

World Cup Commercial Manager Stephen Price said only tickets purchased from authorised travel agents and the ICC’s official public ticketing programme would be accepted.
