Tendulkar fully fit
Alex Crampton |Greg Chappell has confirmed Sachin Tendulkar is “fully fit and in good spirits” ahead of the upcoming Tri-Series in Malaysia.
This comes after a practice match between two teams led by Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh at Chennai. Playing for the Sehwag XI, Tendulkar scored a fluent 101 off 83 balls, including 12 fours and three sixes. He also shared an opening partnership of 164 with Rahul Dravid, who he is expected to open with in Malaysia.
Despite Dravid and Tendulkar’s good performances, India’s fast bowlers struggled on a flat wicket. Dravid didn’t seem to concerned by this however:”The conditions were pretty flat. It wasn’t easy for them. But there were lessons to be learnt for the bowlers.”
Dravid also confirmed that Yuvraj Singh would join the team in Malaysia, despite the fact he is currently suffering from a virus.
