Styris itching to get back

Scott Styris is hoping to rejuvenate the Black Caps squad upon his return, just like Jacob Oram and Lou Vincent before him.

Styris has joined his team in Australia, and looks set to make his debut in the Commonwealth Bank Series on Sunday , against Australia at the MCG. Ideally, he would love to
have as much of an impact as Oram and Vincent did upon their return. Speaking to reporters, Styris said, “I guess New Zealand were just stuttering along before they did
arrive…A couple new faces and a bit of an injection of good form can do wonders for a team…I think the three performances they’ve put together have been testament to those two guys.”

He was then asked if the team believed that they could be the first to beat Australia, to which he replied, “Absolutely and I think the Australians think that as well..But we have to play well … I think if we continue to build like we have done over the past seven days then it should be a good few games…The boys have put three good performances in in a
row and I’m sure they’re looking for four, five and beyond.”
