Streak calls time on career
James Nixon |The former Zimbabwean captain Heath Streak has announced that he will retire from English county cricket at the end of this season.
Streak said in an announcement on the Warwickshire website “It has been a difficult decision to call time on my career here in England. I still intend to maintain an involvement in cricket in some capacity whilst traveling less and spending more time with my family. I am determined to finish the season strongly myself, and I hope that the team can put together some good performances to see me off in style.”
This could spell an end to Streak’s cricketing career which to date has spanned 65 Tests, 189 one-day internationals, 174 first-class games and 308 List A games.
