Smith in injury scare

South African captain Graeme Smith has suffered an injury to his knee ahead of South Africa’s must win semi-final against Australia this week.

The Proteas were taking every precaution in making sure their star batsman would be fit for the semi-final and opted to rest Smith from heavy work during Saturday’s training session.

Smith hurt his knee whilst fielding in his side’s comprehensive victory over England in their final Super Eight match.
