Ramnaresh Sarwan to return home

Ramnaresh Sarwan has been ruled out of the remainder of the New Zealand test series after failing to recover from a left thigh injury he picked up during the third one-day international.

Sarwan further agrevated the injury during the first Test and after discussion with team management, it was decided sending him home for further treament was the best course of action.

West Indies team management said in a statement that he will not be replaced in the squad with their already being enough cover with Runako Morton and Devon Smith in the tour party.

Meanwhile, Jerome Taylor is struggling to be fit for the second Test in Wellington starting on Friday after picking up a shoulder-injury during the first Test.
