Pakistan players to get bonuses

An added incentive for success in next months World Cup was given to Pakistan cricketers today, with the news that they would each receive up to 5 million rupees, should they win the tournament.

“We hope the team achieves the best results in the coming World Cup and as a reward each player will get a handsome cash prize and we hope the incentives encourage them,” said Naseem Ashraf, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Should Pakistan only make it to the semi-finals, their bonus will be reduced to 1.2 million rupees and 2.5 million for making the final.

Pakistan start their World Cup campaign on the 13th of March against the West Indies in Jamaica.
