Pakistan name tour squad

Pakistan have named a 15-man squad for their upcoming tour of Scotland where they play two one-day internationals against the hosts and India.

Shoaib Akhtar has been named in the squad which could see the paceman play his first international since the beginning of the year after he was ruled out of the World Cup with injury.

The chairman of selectors Salahuddin Ahmed said on Akhtar’s inclusion “A fit Akhtar is an asset for Pakistan and we have watched him bowl so he was included.”

“I am happy and look forward to play for Pakistan once more. I have been bowling with full throttle and intensity and hope to do well,” Akhtar said on his inclusion in the squad.
