Pakistan denied match practice

Only 11.4 overs were possible on the final day of Pakistan’s only warm-up match ahead of the first Test, against Board President’s XI in Dharamshala, which ended in a tame draw.

Board President’s XI were able to take their score forward by only 29 runs, after play was called off due to bad light, after initially being started late due to rain, with both the overnight batsmen Mohammed Kaif and Dheeraj Jadhav not out at 49.

Unfortunately for Pakistan, neither their batsmen nor the bowlers could gain enough match practice going into the historic Test series against India, as a total of only 101.3 overs play was possible in three days.

The first of three Tests begins in Mohali on Tuesday, March 8.
