Pakistan Board Appeal Ahmed Ban
James Nixon |The Pakistan Cricket Board have launched an appeal against Shabbir Ahmed’s one year ban for an illegal bowling action.
As reported earlier, Shabbir was banned for one year following an assessment by the University of Western Australian on his suspect bowling action.
The Pakistan Cricket Board have collected evidence from biomechanic experts to support its case that not all of Shabbir’s deliveries were found to be illegal.
With the appeal now in the hands of the International Cricket Council, they will under-take a review of the process lading up to the ban and will report back to the PCB with their findings.
