Oram in injury scare

New Zealand will face a nervous wait today ahead of the results of scans that will reveal the extent of an injury to star all-rounder Jacob Oram’s ring finger.

Replays show that as Oram went to take the catch that dismissed Mitchell Johnson, the ball jammed his ring finger badly. Oram showed a notable amount of pain as he was rushed from the field and taken to hospitals for scans.

Any serious injury could not come at a worse time for New Zealand, just weeks ahead of the World Cup in the Caribbean.
