Naved-ul-Hasan to have surgery

Pakistan fast bowler Naved-ul-Hasan is to miss the whole Test series against England to have surgery to sort out his groin injury.

Naved has been having treatment on his groin but has failed to respond to treatment.

As we reported yesterday left-arm fast bowler Samiullah Niazi from domestic side Sargodha in Pakistan has been called up.

Niazi is expected to play in the first Test starting at Lord’s on 13th July with Mohammad Asif ruled out of the first Test and Mohammad Sami struggling to be fit after suffering a knee injury.
