Michael Lewis in for McGrath

Michael Lewis has been named in the Australian VB Series squad in place of Glenn McGrath for the upcoming Finals series.

McGrath is out of the squad to spend time with his wife Jane, who is currently seeking cancer treatment.

Trevor Hohns, the chairman of selectors said in a statement “We are prepared to give Glenn as much time as he needs at this very difficult time.

“Mick Lewis is a quality bowler as we saw in New Zealand last year.”

Lewis has currently played two ODIs for Australian, both against New Zealand in the Chappell-Hadlee series last year where he picked up four wickets at an average of 33.25 with an economy rate of 7.06.
