Malik in doubt for whole series

Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Mailk is in doubt for the whole of the England/Pakistan test series after failing to respond to treatment.

Malik was left out of the first Test against England after suffering a re-occurrence of his elbow injury which he had an operation on two months ago that everyone involved hoped would cure the injury.

Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer said unfortunately Malik’s injury was not responding positively to injections which could well put him out of all four Test matches.

Pakistan do have some positive news however with Younis Khan and Mohammad Asif both likely to be fit for the second Test at Old Trafford starting on 27th July.
