Luke Wright named as cover

The England selectors have called up Sussex all-rounder Luke Wright for the remaining two matches in the one-day series against India.

Wright was called up due to injuries to Ravi Bopara, Andrew Flintoff and Chris Tremlett. Tremlett has already been ruled out of the sixth one-dayer after having an injection to his injuried right foot.

Bopara’s and Flintoff’s injury will be reassessed by the England medical team today, while Ryan Sidebottom has been cleared to rejoin the squad after he underwent a fitness test.

England currently lead the seven match series 3-2.
