Lara- the most dangerous batsman

Brian Lara has been voted the most dangerous batsman and Andrew Flintoff the most dangerous bowler in a report conducted by the The Australian, that surveyed all domestic and international Australian players.

Lara picked up 55% of the votes while Sachin Tendulkar took 25% and Rahul Dravid 20%.

Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne were named as the best Australian batsman and bowler.

Domestically Mike Hussey, Andy Bichel and Stuart MacGill picked up the nominations as best domestic batsman, bowler and spin bowler.

Rudi Koertzen was voted as the best international umpire, with Simon Taufel the best Australian umpire. New Zealand umpire Billy Bowden was rated the worst.
