Inzamam/Malik/Rana In Doubt

Inzamam-ul-Haq and Rana Naved are in doubt for the third test at Karachi due to injury while Shoaib Malik will miss the rest of the second test and is also in doubt for the third test due to his father’s ill health.

Inzaman is in doubt after suffering a back spasm during the current second test and finished up requiring a runner to continue his innings. He under went a MRI scan, which has shown an inflamed disc but no major tear, which will please all Pakistan supporters. Doctors have told Inzamam to rest up for at least three days to recover but he has been told that it could take longer for him to recover completely.

Rana Naved-ul-Hasan is also facing injury problems having sustained a shoulder injury and has gone to Lahore to seek treatment from a specialist. The results of an MRI scan will confirm whether Rana is able to play in the third and final test in Karachi.

Shoaib Malik has been forced to rush home to be with his father who suffered a heart attack and is currently in a coma. Shoaib will miss the rest of the second test, and depending on his father’s health he is likely to miss the third test as well.
