Injury replacements for World XI

Inzamam-ul-Haq, Rahul Dravid and Chris Gayle have joined the World XI squad for the upcoming Super Series in Australia as replacements for the injured Sachin Tendulkar and Herschelle Gibbs.

Inzamam replaces Tendulkar in the test squad as the Indian star has not yet recovered from his recurring elbow problem, while compatriot Dravid replaces him in the one-day team.

Gayle comes in to the one-day squad replacing Gibbs who has pulled out with a knee injury.

The Super Series begins on October 5 in Melbourne with the first of 3 ODIs at that venue, before the two teams move up to Sydney for the test starting on the 14th.
