Giles suffers injury setback

England spin-bowler Ashley Giles has suffered new problems with his hip and is in doubt for the start of the county season.

Giles who was announced as vice-captain to Heath Streak in the Warwickshire side last month suffered the problems during Warwickshire’s pre-season tour to the Caribbean.

Giles didn’t play any cricket last summer due to hip and groin injuries and had two operations, but made his return during the winter Ashes series. Giles had to return home mid-way through the tour due to his wife being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
