Franklin to miss ODI series

James Franklin has been forced to miss the South Africa and Chappell-Hadlee one-day series in order to have surgery on his right knee.

Franklin had the following to say on the injury “There’s never a good time to pick up an injury, but for this to flare up after six months out of cricket is frustrating.”

Franklin went onto say “The surgery means that I’ll have more time out of the game, which is a disappointment. After that, I will focus on rehabilitation and getting back to cricket and full fitness.”
