Cricketer Of The Year
Where would Bruce Mitchell fall in this comparison according to you? Would having a fourth innings average of 90 help?
I think all 5 of them are close. Personally would go with Bruce second due to having a 20+ year war interrupted career, averaging 50+ while opening as well as bowling Leggies like Simpson.

International Captain
Lawry at the top for me. His technique (especially defensively given the expectations for openers of the time) was one of the best for openers that I've seen footage of. And he did have all the shots when he finally decided to use them.
