Flintoff sends scare through England
James Nixon |England captain Andy Flintoff sent a scare through the England camp today after he left the field after bowling only four overs today.
England coach Duncan Fletcher told AAP that Flintoff had left the field because of “discomfort” experienced from a heavy bowling work-load in the Test series to date, but it was only as a precaution to have his ankle monitored.
Fletcher went on to say that it was similar to the soreness Ashley Giles was feeling after also returning from a long injury layoff.
Flintoff bowled 35 overs up in Brisbane and to date has bowled 26 overs in Adelaide.
