Flintoff at 100% before summer end

England coach Peter Moores has said he expects to have Andrew Flintoff back at 100% fitness before the end of summer meaning he could take back in the later stages of India’s tour of England which starts in early July and ends in early September.

Moores spoke to the BBC’s Five Live’s Sportsweek saying “Provided the rehab goes well, we’ll see a fit Andrew Flintoff out there who does what he does best. I’m very excited about getting Andrew back in that team bowling at 90mph and putting the ball out of the ground.”

Australian Brett Lee gave his thoughts to Sky Sports on Flintoff’s recovery saying “Once you get the ankle right, I can see him coming back and being better than he was. I am sure he has been working really hard on his fitness and it is going to be scary watching him bowling rockets at us again, but I wish him all the best of luck to come back.”
