Day 2 Washed Out

Another day at Chennai, another day washed out. The rain of yesterday and the night before had ceased, but the field was too sodden for any play.

The ground staff, as they have done so often in recent years, worked their socks off to try and prepare the ground for play, but with muddy and slippery portions of the outfield play was abandoned at 1pm local time.

There is a good chance of a full day’s play tomorrow, provided there is no more rain, and play is scheduled to start half an hour earlier to make up some of the time lost.
