Cairns out of Videocon Cup

Chris Cairns, the New Zealand allrounder, has been ruled out of the rest of the Videocon Cup in Zimbabwe due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury during the fifth match of a tri-series against India on Friday.

Cairns had previously appeared to make a full recovery before the match after passing a fitness test in the nets, but will now miss the final against India on Tuesday.

New Zealand meanwhile have further injury problems ahead of the final on Tuesday with another allrounder in Jacob Oram, also suffering from a hamstring problem.
