Bravo and Sarwan doubtful
Liam Camps |Key players Ramnaresh Sarwan and Dwayne Bravo may miss the first One Day International against New Zealand, to be played in Wellington tomorrow. Sarwan, the West Indies vice-captain, has been advised to rest in order that he recover from the flu, which kept him out of the yesterday’s Twenty20 tour opener.
Allrounder Bravo suffered a side strain while fielding in the Twenty20 match, and was forced out of the attack after bowling 16 deliveries. Little is known further than the nature of the injury at this time.
The touring West Indies tied the Twenty20 one-off with New Zealand, but victory was granted to the hosts after a bowl-out. They now prepare to play five One Day Internationals followed by three Tests against their hosts.
