Australia fight back
James Nixon |Australia have fought back in the third test against South Africa at the Sydney Cricket Ground thanks to a good knock from Ricky Ponting and some late order hitting from Adam Gilchrist.
Brett Lee also dismissed AB de Villiers late in the day which gives South Africa a 96 run lead with nine wickets in hand and two days to play.
Regular match-reporting for this test will resume for the fourth day.
