Hayden hurts knee

Australian opener Matthew Hayden will miss a First Class match against South Australia tomorrow, due to knee tendonitis, the AAP reported today.

The news is certain to send shock waves through the Australian side, less than a month away from the much anticipated home series against India.

Fellow Australian opener Phil Jaques has also been on the sidelines recently after being diagnosed with the mumps.
