Stuart MacGill fined for abuse
Zac Gelman |Veteran Australia spinner Stuart MacGill has been fined half his match fee on the Australian A tour after reportedly directing abusive language at Pakistani batsman Mansoor Amjad at the crease.
Stuart MacGill was found guilty of breaching the players code of conduct which prohibits players from using offensive language on the field.
Cricket Australia’s official on the tour, Michael Brown also delivered some scathing criticism of the 36 year old’s behaviour.
“A player with nearly 200 Test wickets should be showing leadership to the emerging group of talented Australian cricketers currently playing in Pakistan,” he said in an official media release.
