“We’re not favourites” says Collingwood
James Nixon |England captain Paul Collingwood has played down talk of England being favourites for the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup.
Collingwood told the BBC that “I wouldn’t make us favourites. The beauty of this competition is that every team is thinking they maybe could win it.”
Collingwood went onto say “It is good that we have been playing a lot recently,” he said. “Our skills should be up to scratch and we’re match-fit and hopefully that’s the edge we need to go all the way.”
England play their first game of the tournament against Zimbabwe on 13th September at Newlands.
