Flintoff ruled fit for Lord’s
Zac Gelman |England have received a massive boost ahead of their one-day decider against India at Lord’s today with the news Andrew Flintoff has been declared fit to play.
Flintoff had missed the previous two matches with problems to his left ankle during the fourth ODI at Old Trafford and was unlikely to partake in the decider at Lord’s as well as the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.
However a steroid injection administered to the ankle today has helped the all-rounder deal with the pain and settle down the inflammation which has in turn allowed him to join the side in place of Alastair Cook who has not been able to replicate his one-day form from the start of the series recently.
