Flintoff on comeback trail
Zac Gelman |English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff will continue the long road back to the England national side this week, playing for Lancashire’s second XI against Derbyshire.
Flintoff was ruled out of England’s Test and ODI series against West Indies at the start of the English summer and subsequently required surgery on the troublesome ankle. He was not able to recover in time for the start of the Test series against India at Lord’s and is not expected to return in time for any of the remaining Tests. However Flintoff is a possibility for the one-day series starting in late August.
Flintoff will play his first match for Lancashire’s second XI on Tuesday against Derbyshire, but will not be able to bowl as of yet and will take part as a specialist batsmen.
