Inzy misses central contract

Inzamam Ul-Haq has missed out on a Pakistan central contract after the selection committee decided to only give contracts to players playing both forms of the game.

Inzamam has played 119 Tests in his career to date for an average of 50.07 with 25 hundreds and 46 fifties.

Inzamam retired from one-day international cricket and gave up the captaincy following Pakistan’s World Cup disaster, but said he was keen to continue playing Test cricket.

The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Nasim Ashraf said “Inzamam’s name was not recommended by the selection committee. The selectors wanted to give central contracts to those players who are playing both forms of the game.”
