India pair ruled fit for England
Zac Gelman |India’s UK campaign, starting later this month, has received a massive boost with the news that fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel have been declared fit for selection.
Zaheer Khan, who was in doubt with a groin strain, was passed fit after an MRI scan and final examination, the BCCI said today. The injury hampered Munaf Patel, who had back concerns, was also declared fit for selection after making it through a recent training camp in Mysore.
India will take on Ireland and South Africa in Belfast for a five match ODI series starting towards the end of June. They then travel on to England for a three match Test series followed by a seven match ODI series, finishing September 8th, less than a week before the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa.
