Woolmer drugged – BBC

A BBC investigation into the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer, set to be screened tonight UK time, claims that the early reports that the former England Test batsman was poisoned in his Kingston hotel room are supported by toxicology test results.

The programme will suggest that the substance in his system incapacitated him and made him unable to resist when he was later strangled to death. The show’s producer believes the programme will “offer a significant lead to finding his murderer”.

A possibly more controversial issue the programme will raise is about the religious divides within the squad, and that the coach was becoming frustrated with the effect such divides were having on the team.
