Ireland retain the status quo

Ireland have retained the same squad from the World Cricket League for the upcoming World Cup.

The team will again be lead by Trent Johnson and coached by Adrian Birrell.

Ireland had a disappointing time in the World Cricket League finishing 5th, but will take heart that three of their losses came in the final-over of the games and the result could easily have gone the other way.

Ireland play their first match against Zimbabwe on 15th March, followed by matches against Pakistan and the West Indies.

Ireland Squad
Trent Johnston (captain), Kyle McCallan, Andre Botha, Jeremy Bray, Ken Carroll, Peter Gillespie, David Langford-Smith, John Mooney, Paul Mooney, Eoin Morgan, Kevin O’Brien, Niall O’Brien, William Porterfield, Boyd Rankin, Andrew White
