Canada cause an upset

Canada have picked up a consolation victory over champions Kenya in their last match of the ICC Tri Series.

John Davison won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. He was soon reaping the benefits of this decision, smashing 38 off 32, as the opening partnership of himself
and Abdool Samad put on 59 in the first ten overs. However, as is often the case, Davison’s dismissal was the beginning of the end, with only Samad offering any resistance.
Unfortunately for him, he had to retire on 48, due to dizziness. At that stage Canada were four down, and they lost their next six wickets for just 34 runs, ending on 214.

Kenya got off to a shaky start , however, being reduced to 13/2. Ravi Shah then joined Steve Tikolo, and the experienced duo were soon at their best, putting on a partnership of 85. At that point though, Tikolo fell to Kevin Sandher. Shah followed shortly afterwards for 48, before Tanmay Mishra was stumped. At 117/6, Kenya were out of the contest, and they limped to 144 before being bowled out to complete a famous win for the Canadians.
