Vaughan set to make return

Michael Vaughan is set to make his return to cricket in playing a one-day match for England Academy against a Western Australia 2nd XI in Perth on Wednesday.

Vaughan has said he is aiming to be fit and ready for selection for the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne starting on Boxing Day.

Vaughan told The Guardian that “so far the rehab has gone really well and I’m quietly confident that within a month or so I would be available for selection.”

Vaughan under-went batting and fielding practice in Brisbane during the first Test defeat.
