Dizzy missed out

Jason Gillespie was set to captain the Prime Minister’s XI against England this Friday, but will miss out due to a right shoulder injury that he picked up while playing for South Australia in the Pura Cup.

The match represented Gillespie’s last chance to impress the Australian selectors and stage an unlikely comeback into the squad.

Victorian Cameron White will take over the captaincy, while Brett Dorey replaces Gillespie.
